Class Announcements What are you reading?I just finished Every Monday Matters: 52 ways to make a difference by Matthew Emerzian and Kelly Bozza. It's a great little book with ideas for how we can make a difference in our own life, in the lives of others, in our community, and in our world. I think we should do something each day to make a difference. How do you feel about this?
One thing that I do to make a difference in our environment is that I pick up litter on my daily walk. I walk a 2.5 mile stretch on most days. It was once filled with litter. I would complain to my husband on each walk about how awful it looked. One day I came to the realization that I could complain, or I could do something about it. I spent 7 hours of my spring break year before last cleaning up that stretch of road. Now, I take a bag with me when I walk and pick up whatever has been thrown out. It's now a clean 2.5 mile stretch of road! Please don't litter! Let's use the discussion section to list how we are making a difference. What are you doing? |
